Terms of Service
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Welcome to the website of Queen of Hearts CPR ("Queen of Hearts," "we," "us," or "our"), a CPR and First Aid training business based in Chiefland, Florida. By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Not medical advice, always call 911 in an emergency
The content on this Site, including statistics, CPR and First Aid information, and class descriptions, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, is not a substitute for professional medical care or formal training, and does not create any provider-patient relationship. If someone is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Do not rely on this Site in an emergency.
2. Training and certification
- Class descriptions, prices, dates, and availability on this Site are subject to change and to confirmation at the time of booking.
- Certification is issued upon successful completion of the applicable course requirements. Completion of a class does not license or qualify you to provide professional medical care.
- It is your responsibility to confirm that a given certification meets the requirements of your employer, school, or licensing body before registering.
- CPR and First Aid classes involve physical activity (e.g., kneeling and performing chest compressions on manikins). By registering, you confirm you are able to participate or will notify us of any limitations in advance so we can discuss accommodations.
3. Bookings, payment, and cancellations
- Submitting a booking request through this Site is a request, not a confirmed reservation. Your spot is confirmed only when we confirm it with you directly.
- Class sizes are limited; spots are first-come, first-served upon confirmation.
- Payment, refund, cancellation, and rescheduling terms will be communicated when your booking is confirmed.
4. Assumption of risk and release
Participation in hands-on training carries inherent minor physical risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume the risks associated with participating in training and release Queen of Hearts, its owner, and instructors from liability for injuries or damages arising from your participation, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. We may require participants to sign a separate waiver before class.
5. No warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. While we work to keep information current, we do not guarantee the Site is error-free.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Queen of Hearts will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a class will not exceed the amount you paid us for the class giving rise to the claim (or $40 if you paid nothing).
7. Intellectual property
The Site's content, including the Queen of Hearts name, logo, text, graphics, and photos, belongs to Queen of Hearts or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission. Statistics attributed to the American Heart Association remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party services (for example, form processing or hosting providers). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, including submitting false booking requests, attempting to interfere with the Site's operation, scraping content, or using the Site for any unlawful purpose.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or serving Levy County, Florida.
